Melting Boxes by SolarLunix Melting Boxes by SolarLunix
I was really hot while I was drawing for my class (Beginning Drawing I) and my professor told us to draw the still life any way we felt... well I felt like it deserved to be drawn in a melting fashion. It impressed him enough, and it made me feel better.

Edit: Cropped down the boarder a wee bit.

Sure you are! Any Medium takes practice, but art is also about style too. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I like you're stuff though. You should keep it up! :)

Thanks, I'll do my best, currently thinking about starting my own mini-manga series, but I'm worried that if I put it up, it won't even have a chance at getting published...

This looks weird. Though I like the colors, they all look like taken from Jupiter.

It was a hot day, and I was feeling like I was melting... so that's how I drew them. I like the weirdness to it. ;) kinda shows my personality. My art teacher was very impressed with it.

But the placement of the shapes does remind me of an ultrasound of a baby in the womb.

The colour choice and shapes remind me of organs almost spilling out from a wound. The jagged bordering shape does not help to deplete this thought.

i like it. )

I'm glad that you like it. I was experimenting with different shapes to see what I could come up with as a way to view it, I thought that the not so even boarder really made it look cool, and really brought a sharp contrast to the wavy liquid within the edges.

Yes. I love artist who can do things like that. Your given wood block or paper that is square. But that does not mean it needs to stay so. Changing the shape can v the piece a completely different feel.

I love to try to bring different styles into it. I love the different shapes and the way they can really bring feeling into different pieces. I am having a little difficulty with some getting them outlined correctly, but that's more because I don't have my drawing tablet for my computer at the handy to be able to really select them nicely. There are more pictures kinda like this one in my gallery if you would like to take a look - I just joined today, so I'm kinda posting a lot at the moment.
