Dream Series 3.24.12So it started out at home, we went over to my neighbors and we had dinner, and it the neighbor, Quinn's mom, walked around her house and then in it from the back with these bags of ears of corn. I invited her over, and then we heard cop cars, and they surrounded her house, and a lot of people were taken out and to jail. For some reason my room was being redone, but Quinn and I laughed that we were having a sleep over, he's now a lot taller than I am according to my dream. My room was being redone, and we were going to paint it and he started painting it red, and I said no, that I wanted it midnight blue. So he nodded, but seemed disappointed, so I told him he could paint the other half of the room red, but this half (on the one side of the seporation wall) had to be black, and he said it was alright really. Dream Series Unknown - 1990s I went to bed and my mother sang to me before she fully tucked me into bed. It really wasn't long before I fell asleep, it never usually was for me as a child. An odd darkness found me in my dreams despite the nightlights that lit my room around me. Soft whispers started to grow louder and then suddenly the darkness began to move, the dark chant the whispers brought began to fill the air. Bits of the darkness began to open, like something was squeezing through. I held my hands up to block out the neon colored light that forced it's way through, and as my eyes adjusted, what I saw next took my breath away. Skeletons and bones and skulls began to fill the air around me, all glowing those neon colors. I began to cry, screaming, I held my hands out in a useless defense. They had me surrounded and were continuing their dark chant.

Dream Series 7.2.12People just don't understand. Thirteen-year-old's have hard lives too. We're old enough to have responsibility but not old enough to do anything. It's the time of frustrating adjustment to "adult-hood" or what ever. Either way, my parents weren't around much but they still acted like they could control my life. With how often they're alone, I'm pretty much living on my own with a bunch of servants... Tonight though, something was wrong. The servants weren't doing things they were normally doing... something seemed sinister about it, though they had made no move at me.
Instead of letting my fears continue to snowball, I slipped out the back, nobody noticed anyway. They really didn't care too much about me. They probably thought I was a spoiled little brat - I mean I was adopted into a family that owned millions, but I lived a poor life first. I walked back to the orphanage that I was adopted from.

Dream Series 7.1.12A soft pair of lips pressed against mine, and as they drew away I looked up into my boyfriend's face. He looked to be of Native American decent, his long black hair laid in a braid down his back. His eyes were soft, but only for me, for others they were quite sharp, and his stare could almost literally cut you in half. I wasn't exactly a fan of the people that he hung out with, but it just wasn't my place to say anything, they were his friends, and even if I didn't approve, I couldn't control him.
"I'll pick you up at eight tonight," he said gently, and gave me another kiss before he headed off with a group of his friends. I could tell they were planning something, I wanted to follow, but I also didn't want to intrude.

Dream Series 6.10.12Sixteen years old, long white hair, and bright maroon eyes hidden by colored contacts. - This is me, an orphan now, taken in by the government trained and in training to take care of problems both within our mostly peaceful country, and outside, where the rest of the world is at total war.
Right now, I'm in class. Not like regular school, this is the government's after school school. We learn strategy and train our strengths. This is my least favorite class, we are wearing Olympic styled outfits and working on single bars. I don't hate it because I can't do it, I hate it because my legs still show the scars from when my house burned to the ground. I hated showing them, and they wouldn't let me wear anything else. They said I had to overcome it... but I don't think that that is going to happen, as much as they think I can do it. I was fairly new, but I was improving fast, but the only other problem I had with our government classes was that we had even more home

I like when there is poetry to go along with a work of art. Adds depth and understanding to the artist's work, this is really great

Thanks. I was thinking about redoing this one, keeping the poems the same, but updating the art, I draw a lot better now, but I wasted A LOT of pencil on this piece coloring it in.

Technically you have improved, of course, but your work was quite expressive, nevertheless. What I always like is, when several kinds of art fit together, here drawing and poems. Maybe, I'm receptive to this, cause it correlates somehow with my own quiet and sad inner part.

Moreover, the mood reminds me of "Bringer of Darkness" and the song "Darkness" (on "Up") from Peter Gabriel - you know it? It conveys the same mood to me.
