    Honestly, he is annoying the hell out of me right now. He is currently on my head but keeps jumping down and typing random letters and such on my keyboard. I didn't realise that an 81 gram bird could actually manage to type so well, especially since when he walks across the keys normally he can't press them down at all. Other than that though, he's enjoying himself a lot, flying around our 1 bedroom apartment like he owns the place. He's not happy about the sun going down at 4 pm, because that means we don't get home until it's dark and it becomes an impromptu nap time.

    There are a lot of things coming up hopefully. First and foremost, I am hoping to share you a lot of art, and this is is obviously why you're here. I still have a lot to do, but I'm going to get there. As you can see I did add one featured artist this month, but hopefully next month there will be more. If you have any ideas on how I can make this better, just let me know!
    So anyway, that's it for this month's issue, hopefully I'll add a lot more art before the end of this month and even a few more sections to this monthly update. Thanks for coming!

    Wow this month has been absolutely crazy! I can't believe that it's gone by so quickly. There has been so much going on lately. Obviously I posted a few things but not as much as I was hoping. I've just started a few courses, mostly programming, but I'm also doing a blender course for 3D modeling. I will probably post a few things here, and hopefully you'll enjoy them!
    I also have a few art classes that I can take online as well and I really do want to add more to my dA page. You may have already seen things from my Pixel art class, but I also have a lot of other classes to do,  and I can't wait to get started!

    Pixel has been doing a lot better lately. He has been flying around our apartment like a little maniac but it's a lot of fun watching him get to grips with flying over the past year of him being with us. When we first got him he used to fly backwards into things, which was really funny since he was never actually hurt. We would always pick him up and coddle him a bit to make sure he knew we cared.
    He really is starting to think of himself as a little person. He chats away with inflections and uses real words, such as his name and 'what are you doing' in order to talk. He even starts talking louder when you're on the phone, as if he's worried you're talking to him and not listening to him properly!

    There are a lot of things coming up hopefully. First and foremost, I am hoping to share you a lot of art, and this is is obviously why you're here. However, I am also hoping to expand this journal a little more. I want to add some more sections, maybe some previews, basically make it almost like a magazine. The thing I really want to add is a feature section, but I just don't have the time this month (as you can already see I'm 5 days late posting this, which is actually kind of annoying).

How's the Artist

    Honestly, I can't believe how long it's been since I've been on dA. I'm really trying my best to become more active, and I've only been waiting on internet in order to get back to all of you. 
    We just moved to a new apartment and that's been quite the adjustment. It's a lot smaller than our last one but it suits us a lot better. The only thing to do now is to get rid of all of the extra junk we accumulated over the last 4 years. Unfortunately this has been a little difficult for me as I know that I place a lot of value in material objects that I really just shouldn't and therefore I can be a little bit of a hoarder. I am doing my best to work through this however, and I'm really hoping that I can get this place the way I want it really soon. Next on the list is those awesome vacuum storage bags because Ryan and I are trying to share one small dresser and closet.

Current Projects

    While I've been away I do have a few projects that I have been keeping in mind, including some commissions, trades, and gifts. I've also got a few not quite art related projects going on as well. I started using this website called Trello to help me manage what I'm working on. This has helped me cut down on a lot of tasks already. I also use a small

Programming

    I have a few projects in the works, including a game that is about running an inn. So far it seems like it's going to turn out to be a fun game. Ryan and I have been working for a few months on it - just on and off due to other work. 
    The other project I have going on right now has been to do with trying to get into a Master's program here in Ireland. I am going to work with data from an MEG machine to try to classify it based on previously known data in hopes of being able to classify while the machine is actually being run. 

Up For Sale

    Currently I only have one art thing for sale. This is the Cuddly Puppy on my Etsy store. While I have the Pixel and Lily Pendants still active they will be coming down shortly due to concerns voiced by previous buyers where the wood has a tendency to break after a while or discolour. These may be replaced at a later date. 
    I also have a few things up on ebay, under Ryan's name. Maybe you might find something that you like there. 

Pixel

    So I know the real reason you're here. You wanna check up on the little yellow bird. Well, he's doing fine, although he did have a little difficulty adjusting to the move. He lashes out and has been biting, including flying at our faces trying to attack us. This increases when he is perched on the fuzzy blue blanket I sleep with. I think there are a few things that could have caused this, first, the move. Second, I don't think we were making sure he was getting enough sleep. Irish summers mean a lot of extra light at night, and the cover we had over him wasn't doing enough to block this out. We've switched his cover and have been making sure that he has been getting at least 10 hours of night time, usually closer to 12 just to make sure he's well rested - this has helped. Last, he is growing up. He's just over a year old now and he's been feeling the hormones. I think this has been one of the biggest causes as he likes to rub his little but on me and can sometimes get frustrated if he's not allowed. Either way, I believe he's doing better as we've started to get things more under control. 

Up Next

    Well, there's a lot I have planned for you all. First, I'm going to start by adding a monthly feature at the end of these journals. I thought it would be a lot of fun. I also will be adding to DeviantArt. Although I am going to try to keep things a little more organised. I will probably be re-adding the art that I used to have up, and making my scrap folder for things like Works In Progress along with some of my lower quality photos. 
    I am hoping to do some more pet drawings and photography, so that might be coming up soon. There will also be a few crochet items that I'll be adding. I really hope you guys will stick around to see what's coming up. I might even add some of my stories again, or at least a nice short bit for you guys, as I need to start making a little money (possibly through Amazon, or a publisher if I'm really lucky). 
    I will also be adding this to a deviation so it can be kept on my profile page a little easier.

We saved this cutie today. He wasn't too cold when we found him but he almost got himself hit by a car when he ran over to see us. I immediately took control of him by his collar and Ryan ran in to get our dog's lead. We tried various things, walking around and knocking on doors to see if they knew the dog, and trying to call a vet to come pick him up just to make sure he'd have a warm place for the night. We couldn't take him in because our Westie is 11 years old and we just couldn't risk it with a Pitt puppy. 

Finally, we heard someone whistling like they were looking for a dog, so I called over to him and asked if he was looking for his dog. When he said yes, we told him we found one, and I brought him over to where Ryan was (around the house in the alley trying to keep the dog safe and warm since he was starting to shiver). Thankfully it was his dog, and so we helped get him home. 

I'm so happy we were able to get him home without too many injuries (he was bleeding on our front step for a small while).
